2021 Harley Davidson Fat Boy 114

Firstly many thanks for Harley Davidson U.K. for loaning me this bike to review.

On delivery of the bike, being my first Harley it was big very big but what a looker!. This is definitely a good looking bike and will take a lot of polishing with its black gloss paint scheme and Chrome everywhere. Build quality on the bike is on the next level.

Seating position like most cruisers is comfortable upright feet forward on the side boards, took about 2 miles to get used to quickly, you can definitely feel the weight at 317kg. The engine sound through the what looks like straight pipes is immense great but I’m sure their are catalytic converters in there somewhere. Gear changes were a little agricultural and cornering was a little hard to turn in due to those cast aluminium wheels creating a gyroscopic effect, coupled with huge tyres. It took a little getting used to but by the end of the week i had this bike it got more people looking, coming over to me saying thats nice than most I've ridden.

Now would i have one in my garage afraid its a no due to maybe where i live with lots of B roads country lanes and corners, i feel this bike would be more suited to the open road A roads long straights but its a naked bike really so wind protection isn’t suited either. I see why in USA these are so popular and also being the Fat Boy that featured in Terminator 2, but its astalavissta baby from me!.

I would like to test more harleys though, like the Live Wire an award winning Electric bike, the Sportster or the Pan American.
